Gardner FRD becomes member of ASFP

Pleased to announce that Gardner FRD has become a member of ASFP (the Association for Specialist Fire Protection).

The ASFP is dedicated to the protection of life, property, the environment and our heritage and promotes continuous improvement in all aspects of passive fire protection.

Gardner FRD will also be working with the ASFP Task Group 6 – Fire resisting & smoke control ducts and dampers.  This working group has a wide remit and covers both fire resisting & smoke control ducts and dampers. It is responsible for drafting and maintaining the recently revised ASFP Blue book (BS) – Fire resisting ductwork tested to BS 476: Part 24 3rd edition, the Blue Book (EN) – Fire resisting ductwork classified to BS EN 13501 parts 3 & 4 and the ASFP Grey Book – Fire and smoke resisting dampers.  The group meets approximately three times a year.
